Kim Kardashian dropped her celebrity crush and we agree
Kim Kardashian may have been a married woman and is a doting mother to her four kids, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t thought about her celebrity crush now and then. In fact, her “crush” is someone we can all agree on.
In a published interview from the tenth-anniversary edition of CR Fashion Book magazine, Kim (who’s also the cover girl) was asked some very hardcore questions, reflecting on her children, her family, her passion for justice reform, and, of course, the big one, her celebrity crush.
We all have them, as they bring us a little healthy joy. The SKIMS founder’s choice is one that we can agree on and has a history ingrained in the US. Additionally, this crush has a connection with Kim in a fashionable sense.
Who is Kim Kardashian’s celebrity crush?
Kim got candid when answering CR Fashion Book’s question, “Do you have any celebrity crushes?” because she’s a woman who doesn’t hold back on anything.
“I have one or two!” She replies. “We’ve talked about them, butttttt, you can never tell. But I would say my ultimate celebrity crush is JFK Jr.”
JFK Jr. was the son of the late US President John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. In 1963, a then-three-year-old JFK Jr. attended his father’s funeral following his assassination on November 22nd.
Before he died in 1999 from a plane crash, the younger Kennedy was a New York lawyer and a continuous subject of the media.
It sounds like he had something in common with Kim.
What is Kim Kardashian’s connection with JFK Jr?
Other than the fact that Kim and JFK Jr. are favorites of the public eye and have a deep affinity with the law (her father, the late Robert Kardashian, was part of OJ Simpson’s legal team), there’s another connection she has with the Kennedy family.
For the 2022 Met Gala, Kim went with her former boyfriend, Pete Davidson. The theme was “America in the Gilded Age,” the media personality decided to go as Hollywood’s most famous icon, Marilyn Monroe. She borrowed Marilyn’s “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress at JFK’s birthday party in May 1962 from the Ripley Museum in Florida.
Kim revealed that her idea for her look stemmed back in September 2021 and she told Vogue Australia in their May 2022 article about the fashion choice.
“What’s the most American thing you can think of? And that’s Marilyn Monroe,” she says.
To fit into the fragile crystalized Bob Mackie-designed gown, Kim dropped a whopping sixteen pounds, cutting out carbs and sugar and sticking to a diet of fresh produce and lean proteins. While the move was frowned upon, she could wear the piece on the Red Carpet before switching to a replica.
The original dress is back in the museum, where it’ll stay.
