Kim Kardashian and her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, have had plenty of heat between them since their television debuts in 2007. Kim has been around in the LA social circle as she was best friends with hotel heiress Paris Hilton, but when E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered, she and her sisters exploded to superstardom.

Kime lavished the limelight, but Kourtney preferred a more private mood. At the same time, she allowed the KUWTK film crew to record her children’s births and witness her and Scott’s rollercoaster relationship.

While fans got a personal and raw glimpse into the Kardashian family’s posh lifestyle, they also got volatility between the sisters, and sometimes, things got physical, such as when Kim and Kourtney got into a fight over work ethics in season 18, with Khloé in the middle. The fighting left emotional scars on the sisters, and Kim’s makeup smeared on the wall, leaving a despondent Khloé to clean it up.

One minute they’re laughing, the next minute they’re slapping each other. Like, what is happening?” questions Khloé. “I can’t believe this has gone this far for them to physically assault one another. We don’t treat sisters like that.”

Kim and Kourtney eventually patched things up and moved on, as sisters usually do. It’s just the nature of family dynamics. At least once in their lives, siblings will fall into an argument about something, and often it’s mediocre.

In the third season of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kim was accused by her older sister of “copying her wedding” for her Dolce and Gabbana collaboration. The SKIMS founder tried to avoid using specific styles, such as black lace veils and the Madonna motif.

I tried to be mindful,” Kim said in season 3 at the time. However, Kourtney wasn’t having it and continued to be furious regarding the ordeal.

After talking it over together, the sisters came to a truce and let the bad vibes subside. It didn’t last too long, though, as the tensions resurrected in the season 4 premiere. Kim and Kourtney heard their not-so-nice comments about one another during the editing process. This led to a very heated phone conversation with Kim trying to figure out Kourtney’s anger, with the latter calling her a “witch.” What’s more, is that Kim used Kourtney’s children as a device for her to open up. As Kourtney’s kids are her entire world, it didn’t sit right with the Poosh founder.

We are only in the second episode of season 4, so it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out in the remaining episodes.

Where do Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian currently stand?

In the past few weeks, the sisters have been in neutral territory. Kim has been a part of Kris Jenner’s baby shower planning team, as the family will soon welcome Baby Barker. The sisters also have been attending events such as a Blink-182 concert in Brooklyn and their children’s birthday parties.

As Kris said many times, “Nothing is more important than family.” So with that being said, the two always manage to figure things out and build on their relationship.
