The 2025 LA Fires Disaster Relief mission
On Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, fires broke out in Pacific Palisades, California, spreading further across Los Angeles County. Many people, not just the infamous, have lost their homes, possessions, and livelihoods due to the destruction. The fires are still blazing, but a few have been contained, thanks to the brave firefighters and frontliners working nonstop.
On January 10th, Kim announced via Instagram Stories that she and her clothing company, SKIMS, have donated to the Los Angeles Firefighters Department Foundation to receive resources and support. Additionally, Kim made a second announcement, thanking the incarcerated firefighters for their bravery and commitment. The reality star even pitched a request to Governor Gavin Newsom to increase the pay for the incarcerated firefighters, as they only make $ 1 an hour. She wants to better the lives of others and grant them second chances.
Kim and her family also fed the firefighters meals from their favorite Armenian restaurant, Carousel Restaurant, on January 9th. In addition to the donations, the entire family posted resources on social media on where to get help and how to help.

Many lives were lost on both sides, and it caused heartache across the globe.
