But during her May 28 concert in New Jersey for her Cowboy Carter tour, it was Beyoncé who got the ultimate surprise. Even better is that the Grammy winner and the giver will forever be connected to it.
It's worth mentioning that Beyoncé was performing and doing constant wardrobe changes in pouring rain at the Metlife Stadium. Yet, she didn't allow a few drops dampen her night, or for the thousands of fans who come to see her. Speaking of which, a couple in the audience gave her an envelope with something special inside.
Beyoncé was dressed in a black sleeveless jumpsuit that was hemmed with the American flag as she opened the envelope. On its front, it read, "Named our 1st born Carter. Will [you] do the gender reveal for his sibling?"
Granting the couple's wish, Beyoncé, who's a mom herself to three kids- Blue Ivy, Sir, and Rumi, kneele d down and open the envelope, revealing the news to the crowd.
"It's a boy!" the singer announced, as the paper said "COWBOY."
"God bless you! Congratulations! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of [your gender reveal]!" Beyoncé said graciously and with a smile.
Fans captured the moments of the reveal, which flooded social media within hours. Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, reposted the reveal on her Instagram, which brought in nearly 160,000 likes and several comments. The couple who are expecting the Cowboy reposted the clips and photos. For them, Beyoncé doing the reveal will be one of their most cherished memories.
The couple, who go by cmrnkc and lauren.c.carlson respectively on Instagram, additionally praised the Beyhive's fandom love and support, quoting that it was "overwhelming" but "unbelievable."
Gender reveals and pregnancy announcements are nothing new for concerts, as Kourtney Kardashian made her announcement at a Blink-182 show in 2023 when she and Travis were expecting Rocky. The little guy will turn nineteen months on Sunday and is the light in the Poosh founder's eyes.
Beyoncê has done a gender reveal before at her Renaissance World Tour show in Germany in 2023. The couple was expecting a girl at the time, and just like the couple at the New Jersey show, the former Destiny's Child member brought them joy. It's going to be something that will be treasured.
