Dolly discusses her history of growing up in a Pentecostal church that did not satisfy her deep hunger and thirst for a higher power. It wasn't until she was in an abandoned and derelict church that she felt the spirit of God come upon her. Dolly explains that being exactly herself (in all of her flashy ways) is an expression of her devotion to God. Both women agree that it is through and by faith that they are able to navigate their way through a sometimes chaotic life and existence.
The creative experience is not separate from the creator
Khloé Kardashian asks Dolly about her creative process, and it may surprise you to find out what it is. Author of classic songs such as "I Will Always Love You’ and ‘Jolene,’ Dolly says that, of course, she always carries a pen and notepad with her, but that she does have her favorite and unique creative process. Dolly has a home on the ridges of the Tennessee mountains where she likes to go to commune with God and create. The ten-time winner says that she begins with a two-day water fast, followed by a juice cleanse in the mountains to truly communicate with and channel her creator for the best songwriting experience. She admits that it has been a while since she has been able to participate in this process, but that it is her favorite.
Is there a line of Dolly wigs coming?
Khloé asks her beautiful collaborator if there are any projects yet to come, and Dolly says that there is one thing she has always wanted and tried to get off the ground and that is her line of wigs.
