The 100's Eliza Taylor had a whole night of glam and glitz on Sunday, July 20, when she stepped out on the Red Carpet for the world premiere of her and Bob Morley's short film. Status: Active at the LA Shorts Film Festival. She and her beau were proud of their hard work on the project, and a great deal of passion went into the film, including the amazing contributions made by the Indiegogo supporters.
Being part of that chapter, I not only gained education in filmmaking (though college did help), but I also became a part of a warm and generous community. Depending on the backup tiers, many perks were laid out, including autographed behind-the-scenes photos, Zooms, and even film accreditation.
Before we dive into the specifics of the Status Active movie, let's discuss how stunning Eliza looked in her Viridian Green halter dress and soft glam. The blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty definitely stole the night (as she should), and was met with standing ovations, not only for her fashion sense, but for achieving the goal of getting the short film into the public eye.
Eliza's simple, yet elegant makeup and low-key waves were crafted by Melissa Bedi, who has worked on the Aussie actress previously for photoshoots and events.
And we can't help but notice how good Bob looked in his muted purple tee and blazer. It was just as important a night for him as it was for Eliza.
In a small Instagram Carousel, Eliza and Bob graced the Red Carpet, with a few of their former The100 cast mates dropping a few comments. These were met with comments and encouraging words by fans.
Below, you can listen to what Eliza and Bob reveal regarding their feelings with the premiere and seeing the movie on the screen.
"It was great to be able to show [Status: Active] in LA, yeah um, have the rest of the crew, most of the crew be there, yeah, to see it all come together," says Bob.
What is Status: Active about and who does Eliza Taylor play?
Status: Active is a dark comedy about an app driver (think Instacart or a Target shopper) named Kaitlyn (Eliza) who attempts to top the ratings in the app. Yet, that could very well be threatened due to a suspicious app user. To be fair, there are some strange requests from users, and you never know what might pop up. However, in the Status: Active narrative, the user is potentially dangerous, as they submitted a request that contained questionable items.
See the trailer below, as Kaitlyn makes the most of her day by fulfilling the users needs.
Here's to hoping that Status: Active will reach far more screens so that people could see the wonderful work placed into it, as it's well-deserving!
