Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have publicly addressed their engagement split after months of speculation. While the musician and actor are no longer romantically linked, they will remain supportive of their young daughter, Daisy Dove, whom they welcomed in 2020. That way, the nearly five-year-old child would never be deprived of her parents' attention, as Perry and Bloom have agreed to co-parent amicably.

Bloom and Perry met in 2016, and the former proposed to the Grammy winner in 2019. After being engaged for six years, they went their separate ways. A wedding was initially planned for 2020 but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and further delays have followed.

Various outlets reported the breakup during the week of June 22, when Perry and Bloom were noticeably absent from each other at the Bezos-Sánchez wedding in Venice. In her defense, the "I Kissed A Girl" singer was in Australia with Daisy for her Lifetimes Tour and was in good spirits. However, on the last tour stop while Down Under, Perry broke down in tears in front of the crowd. Her emotional reaction was a blend of the split and wrapping up the Australian portion of her tour.

In a tour video uploaded to X (formerly Twitter), a tearful Perry made the heart hands gesture and poured her soul out in gratitude to the fans.

"Thank you for always being there for me, Australia! It means the world!"

During the wedding's festivities, Bloom was spotted conversing with the Kardashian family, as the actor is friends with the sisters and it was a platonic meet-up.
