Kendall Jenner is one of the world's recognized models, and designers are eager to work with her as she can make any one of their garments look like a dream. Plus, the 29-year-old brings her outgoing attitude to the Runway, which only adds a unique sense of character to the piece.
Yet, there will be times when Kendall will step out of the box and take a little "forward" approach in her campaigns, such as recently when she unveiled her latest edit of rustic and outdoorsy clothing from the online luxury retailer, FRWD. As the Creative Director, she knows what will be the hot trend for the summer and beyond.
Kendall Jenner is all about making statements with FRWD
This week, Kendall posed in a risky, nearly baring-it-all photo for the retailer. She uploaded the photo, along with others on the farm, in a collaborative Instagram Carousel on July 9. In the black and white snap, she stands alongside her horse wearing only tiny, laced-up denim shorts by Ludovic de Saint Serin and Jimmy Choo black knee-high boots. In the modeling world, sometimes the campaigns could be wild and unexpected, and Kendall's are no different.
While the photo leans more towards the "sexy" side, it also reflects that Kendall is embracing body positivity and completely accepts herself for who she's. Yet, the still can also be polarizing, in the belief that it represents the ideal body shape, emitting a false sense of societal acceptance.
But what one has doesn't mean that another should, as we should embrace ourselves naturally. It can be hard, no doubt about that, but at the end of the day, self-love and confidence aren't measured by society, but by us and only us.
FRWD additionally uploaded a behind-the-scenes Reel of Kendall on their IG profile to celebrate the new edit. In the clip, the reality star dons various outfits, including a patched and pony-printed sweater in warm tones and a flowing dress. Sneakers, boots, and socks completed the looks, which emulated a fun summer vibe. The campaign was photographed by the renowned fashion photographer, Cass Blackbird, while Jacob Giessmann filmed the BTS footage.
Kendall has campaigned with FRWD for their summer edit in 2024, wearing bathing suits that flatter her slim figure and in hues that complement her skin tone. She has been its Creative Director since 2021, a role that she's proud of as it gives people to see her fashion viewpoint.
Yet, she's not afraid to add comfort to luxury, saying that she'll pair the outfit with sneakers, as she revealed to Vogue in 2021.
"I’m all about combining your favorite designers with a pair of sneakers. I am also excited to see all of the new collections coming out for more inspiration.”
