Our favorite reality super star Khloé Kardashian sits down in her podcast 'Khloé in Wonderland' with parenting expert Dr. Becky Kennedy for an intimate conversation about all things parenting on June 10th. This podcast with Best selling author Dr. Becky will ease every parent's mind as the conversation goes into detail about so many common struggles in parenthood. From 'mom guilt', boundary setting, and over scheduling this podcast will give every parent excellent guidance and comfort!

Motherhood is a work in progress according to Dr. Becky

If you are actively raising your children, chances are that you did not receive a guidebook on how to do it along with your positive pregnancy test. In this podcast, clinical psychologist Dr. Becky Kennedy discusses the very false societal narrative of mothers just intuitively knowing how to raise their children. This leaves so many parents feeling helpless for not always 'just knowing'. If you are ever feeling lost in the wilderness as a parent, then know that you are not alone, and in this past week's podcast of Khloé in Wonder Land, let you know that we are all in the community of parents just trying to figure it out!

It’s okay to say no and expect the tantrum

As Khloé and Dr. Becky weave through their 1.5-hour conversation, they talk about the very real experience of setting boundaries for our children of any age. Dr. Becky reassures parents that just because you calmly put the boundary that you have been meaning to set does not mean that your child will politely accept. Rather, Dr. Becky playfully suggests to parents that when they lay down the law, do so knowing that your child will likely throw a tantrum, which is okay. By setting rules for your children, you are actually teaching them how to self-regulate, according to Dr. Becky. As you set boundaries to give yourself the time you need as a parent and the limits your children crave, do so knowing that your child will likely revolt.

You are not alone: Motherhood is a community effort

More than anything, this rendition of Khloé's podcasts teaches us that even the experts in the field of parenting struggle on some days. Whether you feel the need to overschedule activities for your children or suffer from shame or guilt as a parent, please know that you are not alone. Parenting does not come with a universal guidebook that works for all children and parents all of the time. Remember that motherhood is a community effort, and on your harder days, there is someone else near or far going through the exact same struggle. Stay tuned for next week's Khloe in Wonderland's highlight reel!
