Kim Kardashian and her clothing company, SKIMS, are giving back to the community as the LA Fires- one of California's most tragic natural disasters to date, as they continue their blazes. Many have lost their homes and their personal effects, not knowing their future's fate.
In response to the fires, Kim and SKIMS contributed to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the nonprofit Baby2Baby. The reality star didn't disclose the amount she donated to the LAFDF, but she and SKIMS donated clothing, socks, and underwear to baby2baby to help compensate for the victims' loss in the tragedy.
Earlier this week, Kim and her family donated meals from Carousel Restaurant to the firefighters to recognize their life-saving efforts and community commitments. The move wonderful gesture filled the hearts (and stomachs).
Kim Kardashian and SKIMS give to the LA Fires relief
Kim mostly kept quiet on social media this week, and it doesn't go unnoticed as she keeps all her profiles up-to-date with her nearly 360 million followers. Fans began speculating theories regarding her absence, as her sisters and her mother, Kris Jenner, posted content on their Instagram Stories and X (Twitter) accounts.
On January 10th, Kim broke her silence and gave a much-needed update to her fans. She reposted the IG Stories from the SKIMS account, noting that she and her company have been donating to support the LA firefighters battling the blazes and Baby2Baby, a nonprofit where Kim's an Angel of.
SKIMS and Kim wrote the following in their Stories on Friday evening:
"As our community faces the devastation of the Los Angeles Fires, our hearts are with all of those impacted, and we are commited to helping during thi challenging time."
In the second slide, Kim and SKIMS further elaborated that they've made donations to the respective nonprofits.
"We have donated to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, providing critical resources to the heroic first responders protecting our city. Additionally, we are making a sizeable donation of underwear, clothing, and socks to Baby2Baby to help those displaced by the fires."
The mother of four continues the heartwarming post in the third slide.
"Many families have lost everything and are facing an uncertain future. Join us by supporting these incredible organizations by donating, volunteering, or raising awareness for the important work that they do. Together, we can bring hope and relief to those who need it most."
In closing, Kim provided the links for the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and Baby2Baby in the last two slides, so that her followers and anyone who wants to contribute can do so.
It has been reported via TMZ that Kim and her large family were ordered to evacuate their Calabasas and Hidden Hills homes as the fires threatened to engulf their neighborhoods. The orders had since been lifted.
