We're catching up on one of our favorite fashion girls, Kim Kardashian, who has been in Paris for Fashion Week! But she wasn't just a guest; she was a Runway model for Balenciaga. The mother of four channelled one of her favorite people from the Golden Age of Hollywood for her Catwalk. It's the late Elizabeth Taylor, and Kim even gave her tribute a personal and faceted touch.

On the second day of Fashion Week, which was July 8, Kim was one busy woman, as she prepped for the Balenciaga show. Before it, she was already in the Spanish brand in a pink halter low-cut dress and heeled leggings. Calling herself the "Balenci Barbie," the reality star stepped onto the Parisian streets, where she was greeted by fan crowds and the media.

After her exterior public address, it was time for her to recreate it for her interior public at the show and to have her moment. As we mentioned, she honored the Cleopatra star in her look.

It's no secret that Kim admires some of Hollywood's most legendary stars, as she tends to reflect them in her fashion and Red Carpet events. This arc is true enough, as the star herself wore Marilyn Monroe's "Happy Birthday" dress to the 2022 Met Gala. According to Ripley's, where the Bob Mackie original currently resides at its Hollywood location, it's worth a staggering $4.8 million.

Kim only graced the Gala's Carpet in the authentic and quickly changed into a replica for the indoor portion. As Marilyn's bejeweled and neutral-toned piece is over 60 years old, it wasn't in the most pristine condition when Kim slipped into it, so precaution was taken.

Zip forward to three years later, and Kim is making headlines yet again regarding her incorporation of Holly vaulted jewels into her looks. For her ivory Mob Wife Meets Mid-Century Glamor Balenciaga presentation, the SKIMS founder was dressed in a daring silk form-fitting chemise dress with lace accents and a faux fur coat. She then accessorizes the ensemble with high-end Lorraine Schwartz necklaces and pointed gold pumps.

The outfit was inspired by Taylor's on-screen costume from the 1958 drama, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, starring Paul Newman and Burl Ives. In the movie, Taylor wore a white and lacy chemise and heels, much in the likeness of Kim's, and even the latter's hairstyle closely matched the actress's — a sleek bob and wavy cut.

For the pièce dé resistence, Kim managed to get access to Taylor's Girandole Chandelier diamond earrings, valued at nearly $400,000. These antique gems were from Taylor's exquisite jewelry archive, and she had acquired them from one of her husbands, Mike Todd, in 1957.

We love it when Kim Kim pays homage and touches the past, even if she hasn't existed in those eras.

On July 8, Balenciaga and its former Creative Director Demna uploaded a breathtaking photo of Kim in front of a French sidewalk cafe. Her style is considered Haute Couture by the label.

Kim then uploaded a clip of herself walking down the Runway in the look and getting ready behind the scenes. She even offers a closeup of the famous earrings.

In 2011, Kim had the opportunity to interview Taylor for Harper's Bazaar and was one of the last people to speak with her before her passing in March that year due to heart complications at the age of 79.
