Kim Kardashian is reeling in her New York SKIMS Store era: 'Dreams do come true!'

Despite a broken foot, the reality star attended the opening party

Kim Kardashian is still in dream mode following the successful launch of the New SKIMS store last week. Since the shapewear company's premiere in 2019, it has become a multi-billion-dollar empire, expanding from the iconic shapewear line to casual clothes and accessories. In addition, SKIMS has opened five stores across the US, with the latest one in the heart of New York.

To make it even more of a fanfare (other than Kim's attendance), the NYC store opened right in time for the holidays, which I guarantee will attract thousands of shoppers before Christmas and Hannukah. After all, SKIMS drops sell out in mere minutes, as nearly everyone wants something from the brand.

But no one was more excited about the store's debut as Kim is, because she was the one who made it happen. It's a sense of inner pride and we all feel it when we accomplish a goal or set a new motivation.

On Sunday, December 15th, Kim took to Instagram to share multiple posts containing a bevy of behind-the-scenes photos from the party. Guests included her longtime best friends- Paris Hilton and Lala Anthony, R&B singer Ciara, and rapper Ice Spice.

Prior to Kim jet-setting to the Big Apple, Kim broke her foot. While we don't know how she did it, the reality star didn't let it spoil her good and joyous time at the party. She did have the advantage of a knee scooter to help her get around and relieve the pressure on her foot.

Kim sips a celebratory drink in the first of three Instagram Carousels in front of the embossed store address. She then poses with Paris and Ciara and checks the inventory in her store.

"Dreams do true!" Kim writes for her caption. "A store on 5th Ave. in NYC. Crazy."

The second carousel presented more snaps of Kim, but she now sits in front of the mannequins in the SKIMS signature bras in neutral tones. In fact, that's how the company first began, as Kim used to tea-dye her underwear to achieve her correct skin tone. She soon changed the fashion industry with SKIMS, which specializes in a variety of shades to match everyone, or at least, pretty close to it.

"SKIMS," was all that the comment read.

In the third and final carousel (for now), Kim dedicates the entire post to the ones who helped make her dreams a reality. Jens and Emma Grede were at the top of the list since they are co-founders of SKIMS. Then, there were more shots with Paris, Lala, and Ciara, and they deservedly enjoyed themselves. At one point in the evening, Kim swapped her heels for comfortable and soft boots, as heels would only make the pain worse.

"Our flagship store is now open in NYC. I'm so grateful for my dream team at SKIMS for making this all happen!" Kim writes.

Will Kim and SKIMs be opening more retailers in the US? We could sure use one in Chicago, as there are many Kardashian fans here, and we would love to step inside of one. The closest one reflecting a store we have is the in-store boutique at the Oak Brook (a North West suburb) Nordstrom. It'll have to do until then.
