Kim Kardashian is giving her fans a glimpse into her hair styling routine, as evidenced by a new selfie she uploaded to Instagram. The reality star and model is going back to her Marilyn Monroe era, as she prepares for a special event. Currently, she's in Seoul, South Korea, with Khloé Kardashian, as she's been sharing snippets in her IG Stories.
Anyway, in her August 15 post, Kim presents a laid-back snapshot of herself, her now icy blonde hair with peeking dark roots at the center of focus. She gives the lens her famous kiss, as her locks are in the midst of styling. On the left, small braids are set into place, while a silver clip on the right sets straight strands. For glam, Kim dons a matte lip and soft, smoky eyes, framed with a winged liner.
For a relaxed fashion choice, Kim wear a crisp white button-up top that will make clothese changim an easier process. Behind her are her blonde hair extensions scattered across the bed, so they could add a little more pouf to the finished look.
"About that time," Kim quotes in her caption.
For the 2024 and 2022 Met Galas, Kim dyed her hair blonde, with the latter honoring the Niagara actress by wearing her Birthday Dress. Since the archival piece is delicate and an American Icon, Kim only wore it for the Carpet then changed into a replica. She also lost a staggering twenty-pounds to fit into the original and went on a near-Vegan diet with lean protein to attain the goal.

Kim's primary hair stylist, Chris Appleton, is the man behind the magic. He has created some of the personality's most iconic hair moments, such as the Met Gala 2024 and the Bezos wedding. However, the color change doesn't just alter Kim physically; it also resets her personality and way of thinking.
"I have different energy when I’m blonde," she revealed to Allure back in 2022, when The Kardashians on Hulu premiered. "I’m sassier. I’m more confident as a blonde. As soon as I go back to brunette, I’m a boss."
And like Marilyn, Kim exudes a certain level of sensuality on the Red Carpet, and cameras can't get enough of her. It doesn't even have to be at a prestigious event or on the carpet; it could be as simple as a run to the store or taking her kids to school. Marilyn also had the same effect.
As Kim didn't mention what special event the blonde hair was for, it could be for anything. Or perhaps she only wanted to highlight her beauty regimen. Either way, the blonde is here for a while!
