Kourtney Kardashian is giving a fresh spin on the 2025 summer fashion and aesthetic, as the reality star poses in a short series of snaps. The hot season is still a week away, according to the calendar, but June 21 is only a date, and doesn't always align with our feelings to celebrate early.
Growing up in Los Angeles, Kourtney and her family (including her sisters) embraced the warm weather, especially in the summertime, when temperatures can tip over 100º F during the day. While we can't control the weather, we can control how we look and feel about it. Oftentimes, we hit the pool or beach to beat the heat and soak up the sun.
Kourtney is taking advantage of early summer in her June 14 Instagram Carousel. The Lemme founder looks bright and still maintains her Gothic style. She wears a vintage-inspired black one-piece swimsuit with matching heels and poses across a lemon-printed blanket. She feels refined and comfortable in her skin, and a glow surrounds her.
Many fans complemented Kourtney and even asked where she got the lemon blanket. The design resembles the Dolce and Gabbana tablecloth that the fashion house dropped in 2016.
In a place where the beauty standards are especially high, Kourtney turns the other way, as she accepts who she is. The photoshoot defines that, and whether people have a negative thought about the way she looks, she doesn't care.
Kourtney Kardashian didn't always feel her best
There was a time when the reality star felt pressured by the media to reclaim her tiny size after giving birth to her first child, Mason Disick in 2009. In December 2010, one year after having her son, Kourtney shrank to 95 pounds. Her weight loss was across nearly every magazine cover, and as society likes to push the narrative, it can leave people feeling overwhelmed.
While Kourtney is only 5'0" and small-framed, she felt 'cringey' about being under 100 pounds. In a season two episode of The Kardashians in 2023, the mom of four opened up about the experience and why being a little bit 'bigger' is her happier vibe after undergoing IVF treatments.
"I used to be 95 pounds. Then 105 became my new normal weight [after having Penelope]. I am 115 [now]. I am so into my thicker body. I looked up photos of my body when I was so skinny — it is cringey."
After having Rocky in 2022, Kourtney wasn't in a rush to lose the pregnancy weight. She allowed nature and her own time to get back into shape, and her progress has been remarkable. She does her own thing, as she should.
