Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie reunite in Paris and Nicole The Encore: See the trailer!

The Y2K It Girls are returning to the small screen just in time for Christmas! Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are reviving their hit reality series, The Simple Life, in a brand new way, but never shedding the effervescent personalities that made the show famous and spotlighted them as overnight celebrities.

In case you don't know what The Simple Life's premise is, allow us to fill you in. It's about two young Beverly Hills socialites who are stripped from their cash, credit cards, cars, and luxuries to live and work on a farm for a month. The pattern remains relatively the same for all five seasons, except relocation and gaining blue-collar employment.

The Simple Life was a defining arc in pop culture's Y2K Era and prepared the map for future reality shows.

I'll admit I watched the show, but I was Team Tinkerbell the Chihuahua. No matter what Paris and Nicole did, that beloved tiny pup stole every scene she was in. I also felt terrible for her, as some questionable situations could've endangered her. In 2015, Tinkerbell passed away at fourteen from natural causes.

Since The Simple Life's series' finale in 2007, fans have been dying to see Paris and Nicole back together. Although some of the show's content was scripted in some scenes and others not, The Simple Life was a cult favorite among fans and several international spin-offs were created from its influence

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie team up for Paris and Nicole: The Encore

The NBCUniversal streamer Peacock released a teaser trailer for Paris and Nicole: The Encore on October 30th. In the one-minute clip, the women hold opera auditions to see who can perform their trademark word, "sanasa" best. I don't know what the term means, but it's a personal thing between Paris and Nicole, spoken in The Simple Life.

Along with the teaser, Peacock additionally released the synopsis, which can be read below:

"More than 20 years since OG reality icons Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie first took the world by storm, the life-long friends reunite in a new series. Follow the dynamic duo as they try to produce a once-in-a-lifetime operatic performance based on their self-coined phrase, “Sanasa."

Both socialites are wearing red, probably symbolizing the holiday season, as the new show will premiere during its time.

When will Paris and Nicole: The Encore premiere?

The new series will premiere on December 12th.

As Paris would say, "That's hot!"
