Hollywood and the Award Season returned with a fiery force on January 7th with the 81st Golden Globes. As the evening proved to be one for the records, with Oppenheimer and Barbie scoring many statues, it was also a night of dazzling fashions and looks.
The fashions worn by several stars, nominated, plus ones, and presenting set the foot forward for the 2024 spring trends and what colors will be that "It!" shade for the rest of the year. Of course, if you're anything like me, I often go with black and darker hues due to preference, but I still like to see what's in trend.
Now, these ladies went all out with their apparel for the special night. See who was the best dressed at the Globes.
The 5 best dressed women at the 2024 Golden Globes
Taylor Swift in Gucci
All eyes were on whether Taylor Swift would attend the gala due to her boyfriend Travis Kelce's game schedule. In case you're wondering, she skipped the Chiefs vs. Chargers game and arrived at the Globes in a shimmering emerald green gown by Gucci. She styled it with nude nails and diamonds. Taylor was nominated for the "Cinematic and Box Office Achievement" Globe for her concert doc, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.
Rose McIver in Gucci
There's something extraordinary about being pregnant; you possess a glow that flows outward, such as the case with Ghosts star Rose McIver. She was a blush pink long-sleeved Gucci dress that displayed her growing bump. The piece also had the fashion house's logo in crystals, giving it that extra oomph. When she stood against her co-star, Utkarsh Ambudkar, her dress contrasted splendidly with his silver and black Ateliar Cillian suit.
Selena Gomez in Giorgio Armani Privé
Selena rocked with an old Hollywood look in her crimson and black satin gown by Armani. She paired it with diamond jewelry and red heels. The roses gave a unique accent and made the red shade pop. The actress and singer was nominated for the coveted trophy for her role in Only Murders In The Building.
Sheryl Lee Ralph in Safiyaa
Sheryl Lee Ralph found a new way to make the ordinary shade of back stand out by adding a contrasting color. The yellow sleeves and train gave the dress an uplift, while keeping the style classic. Additionally, the warm hue highlighted Sheryl's beauty.
Margot Robbie in Giorgio Armani Privé
Margot channeled 1977's Superstar Barbie with her bubblegum pink dress. The piece is crafted with sequins and accessorized with a feather boa. The 2023 hit summer movie, Barbie directed by Greta Gerwig took home several Globes.
BONUS: Kylie Jenner in black lace
Kylie Jenner was Timothée Chalamet's Plus One, giving him her full support for his nomination. Kylie was dressed elegantly in a long-sleeved black lace dress with an intricate swirl detail. She matches her boyfriend, which puts them on the "cute couple" alert. During the evening, Kylie and Timothée shared a sweet kiss.
With Award season back in full swing, we can't wait to see what other fashions will grace the Red Carpet.
