Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian arrived in Mumbai, India, this week to attend the wedding of the Indian billionaire Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The reality stars received an honorable welcome from the families and were dressed in traditional but beautiful South Asian clothing for the celebration. The SKIMS and The Good American founders were in India from July 11 to July 14. Khloé even confirmed on Instagram that their international trip was being filmed for a future season of The Kardashians.

The sisters were among several celebrity guests who witnessed the couple's three-day nuptial union. Others on the exclusive guest list included Nick Jonas and his wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, John Cena, Lana del Rey, and the former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair. Bollywood stars- the Indian equivalent of Hollywood stars- also stepped in for the extravagant event.

Ambani and Merchant's wedding was the grand spectacle of the year. It was a three-day affair of prenuptial festivities, music, and culinary dishes for everyone to feast on since weddings are meant to bring people together for a momentous occasion.

As far as the decor went, there were floral arrangements of elephants and tigers, two of India's most symbolic animals, and are considered religious figures in Hindu belief.

Don't expect Kim nor Khloé to wear your basic department store wedding guest dress for Ambani and Merchant's luxurious occasion. This special wedding required lots of bright colors, glimmering jewels, and eye-catching attire. It's encouraged by the bridal party to wear cultural fashion and look just as beautiful as the bride.

Kim and Khloé wowed in their lehengas, a staple of traditional Hindu fashion worn by women in India. The styles could range from modest to more formal, with sparkling embellishments and intricate designs. Kim and Khloé opted for a more formal flair and wore one lehenga and three for the event. Both sisters accessorized them with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry to make them more glam.

On Friday, Kim radiated Princess Jasmine in her two-piece ruby red lehenga that bared her midriff and paired it with a matching dupatta.. While the hue is usually reserved for the bride, Kim broke the tradition and just went with it. Again, she wore Lorraine Schwartz gems in the form of a head piece called a tikka and layered bracelets and pendant necklaces.

Khloé went for the more modest colors of gold and ivory for her lehenga and paired it with gold jewelry.

On the day of Ambani and Merchant's wedding, Kim opted for a muted gold lehenga and, again, wore Lorraine Schwartz diamonds that included a nose ring. Her younger sister chose a bright pink version with short sleeves. I love the color of Kim's, but the style of Khloé's, as the design could be used more than once

For the third lehenga look, Kim gravitated towards red again, with a daring cut-out and cape. The emeralds accented the attire and brought it all together.

Who are Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant?

Anant Ambani is the youngest son of India's wealthiest businessman, Mukesh Ambani, and his wife, Nita. The family has a reported fortune of USD 123 billion. Radhika Merchant is the oldest daughter of Viven Merchant, who's the CEO of Encore Healthcare, and his wife, Sheila.

The now-married couple became engaged in 2022.
