Kim Kardashian continues her criminal reform advocacy by paying a meaningful and well-intended visit to the Pine Grove Youth Fire Camp and Growlersburg Fire Camp Crew. With her younger sister Kendall Jenner and Scott Disick, Kim learns about what the programs (through the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation) offer and the programs' participants.

Under the unique programs, nonviolent offenders are granted second chances and a new lease on life by becoming firefighter volunteers serving the community. The firefighters work together to control wildfires and house fires through their commitment with the fire camps. Following the program's completion and prison release, the members can continue their careers with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and have their felony records erased.

The CBS drama Fire Country, is based on the fire camp programs.

Kim used her Instagram platform on August 30th to commemorate the firefighters and the programs that changed their lives, bringing everything full circle.

Kim Kardashian shares what she learned from the Pine Grove Fire Camp

Of course, Kim is going to drop some photos covering her latest reform endeavor, which she called an "amazing opportunity" for her followers and anyone who checks out her social pages. She took many selfies with the firefighters and provided the Pine Grove and Growlersburg programs' outlines.

"Yesterday, I had the amazing opportunity to spend time with the guys at Pine Grove Youth Fire Camp and Growlersb[u]rg Fire Camp Crew 3 and 5," Kim writes. "These Incredible men are incarcerated firefighters saving our state, homes, and communities from fires."

In one photo outdoors, Kim, who's wearing a conservative all-black ensemble, is with the officers who are with the prisoners daily. Kendall is on the far right at the end.

Unfortunately, California is well-known for its wildfires, and allowing programs such as Pine Grove and Growlersburg gives prisoners a significant chance to improve their lives. According to the CDCR website, Pine Grove has been in service since 1945 and has successfully placed program graduates in employment. The graduates are certifiably trained to be wildlife firefighters.

And how do the men feel about Kim making a visit to them? In the comments, flim creator Scott Budnick, whom Kim tagged in the carousel said that "The guys and the staff loved every minute" and is "so grateful for the love and inspiration."
