During the season 6 premiere of The Kardashians on Hulu, which dropped on February 6th, Khloé Kardashian reunited with her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, nearly ten years after their 2016 divorce.
At the meetup, Khloé returned some of Lamar's possessions, which she had kept during their nearly seven-year marriage. Some of the pieces included his Sixth Man of the Year Award and an angel wing necklace that represented his late mother and infant son, who passed away from SIDS. For the former NBA Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers star, receiving the items unlocked some heartfelt but painful memories.
As for Khloé, the reunion allowed her to reopen old wounds that had formed over Lamar. It's not to say that the union lacked joy, as there were joyful moments in the beginning. However, there was a solid reason why the marriage quickly deteriorated.
The reunion continues in the February 13th episode, bringing additional baggage to the pile.
Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom revisit his drug addiction on The Kardashians

In the February 13th episode, "I Don't Erase What Happened," Khloé and Lamar reflected on his 2015 drug overdose, leaving him in a precarious medical state, and his road to recovery was nearly a year. Lamar was first treated at a Las Vegas hospital, then transported to Ceders in Los Angeles.
"I do believe that addiction is a disease," the Good American founder expressed in her confessional. "I really, really do. The truth is, no one can save someone from that except that own individual."
Khloé additionally emphasized how the overdose impacted her, while she was trying to rescue Lamar in his darkest hour. The experience was one she wasn't anticipating, but in fairness, nobody is.
"I tried countless times to save Lamar from [his addiction]. It was my first experience with anybody like that, and I had to learn the hard way that I can't save anyone in that position. And I tried, and tried, and tried, and I almost lost myself. And I probably did, at some points, trying to save him".
Khloé stayed at her ex-husband's side throughout his recovery, and eventually, he regained his ability to speak, walk, and remember, as the overdose devolved him of those things. The mother of two even wheeled Lamar up to Kim's room, who had given birth to her son, Saint.
Through it all and despite the heartache, Lamar gained a new lease on life, hoping that Khloé sees it as well.
"I guess in due time, if you give me the opportunity, you will see that I'm geniuine and a changed man. And I'm probably cool enough to be your friend," he tells his former wife.
While the two have no current plans to reignite their past romance, starting fresh and new as friends could be in the cards for them. Khloé felt proud of the reunion, and is another "shedding" of her third decade, seeing how she's looking forward to her fourth one.
