Kourtney Kardashian's Calabasas home is looking a little empty these days and that's because she has big plans to renovate it. The reason why is that she wants to make it large enough for her blended family, including her three kids that she shares with her ex-partner, Scott Disick, Rocky Barker with her husband, Travis, and her three stepchildren, Landon, Alabama, and Atiana.
The Lemme founder went into detail regarding her house revamping on the February 20th episode of The Kardashians, "I Just Can't Wait To Be King." During her tour of her vacant home, her youngest sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, popped in.
In her confessional, Kourtney elaborated on her house's remodeling status.
"The typical story of construction. My house is completely empty. It's been empty for months because we're waiting on a permit."
She then laid out photos and design ideas on her kitchen counter, each highlighting the newest installations and features. They're very specific, as the cameras gloss over bedroom and closet makeovers, plus outside revisioning.
"My goal in renovating my house and all the changes we're making is so we can all fit." Kourtney explains. "Me and my kids, my husband, and three bonus kids. and having it feel like a new space that we're all moving back in together, and that feels like new energy and new vibes."

While her home undergoes upgrades and visions, Kourtney lives at Travis's place, which isn't too far from hers. She has been there since November 2023, following the birth of Rocky. She also emphasized that once everything's completed, things will be much smoother for her family.
"I feel like blending in the beginning is a lot of adjusting for each person. Us in their space and then us being out of our space and being into a new space. But it's really good [and] I do want to get this going".
Kourtney is practicing a new habit
When Kendall and Kylie finally arrive, the oldest sister gave them a tour of her furniture-voided home. Interestingly enough, when Kourtney shared her plans in the group chat, Kendall didn't read them, so if anyone want to notify the model of anything, the have to send it direct.
However, Kourtney admits that she, too, would ignore messages and is even practicing less phone time and even wants to get a retro phone for communication. Those who grew up without cellphones understand her vibe.
"I'm trying to be way less on my phone. I got my time down to, like, five-and-a-half hours. It used to be eight, and it's just going to keep on going down. I might get rid of my phone. I'm going to get a house phone. They could just call me. It's where I am most of the time."
Back to the house discussion, Kourtney told her sisters that the remodeling would take 10 months to a year to finish and prepare for the big move-in. She even shared a bit of history with her house and why she's not leaving any time soon.
"I've lived in my home for 10 years. My kids have lived in this home their whole lives and my stepkids have lived in their home their whole lives. And, it's all new living together in one house, which is nice, and it is change, but I think we're at an amazing place with it, and yeah, I think it's great."
