Have you ever wondered who covers the massive cost of the annual Christmas Eve Party that the Kardashians host? It takes an entire team of staff- chefs, performers, decorators, and security (and Mindy Weiss)- to put that iconic event together. Yet it's the family who brings it to life, and each year it gets more extravagant. However, the holidays are designed to be celebrated, so why not throw a party and invite all of your loved ones?
In the latest episode of Khloé In Wonder Land, "Khloé and Kris Jenner: A Krismas Special", the ladies sit down and talk all things Christmas. Their conversation revolved around holiday memories, faith, gift wrapping, and the big Christmas Eve party.
Khloê admitted that listeners submitted their questions, and many inquired about the event. Naturally, she had the assistance of Kris when answering and the responses just made sense. Then again, she's a professional with lots of experience.
"People are always very fascinated with [the] Christmas Eve [party], and I get so many questions like, 'How do we pick whose house is going to be at? How do we pick the theme?'
Who pays for it? Yada, yada, all those things. You don't have to go into like crazy detail, but how does the location of the party get chosen?”
The momager began with the party's history, only to have it grow considerably as the years clocked by. But knowing Kris, she's the type of person who'll invite everyone.
“Well, the party was always at my house. So, literally the first one was [in] 1978 and there was very few people and family, you know, very small family. And then it just grew and grew and grew.”
The Kardashian Christmas Eve party cost breakdown
Although it hasn't been publicly disclosed, a party like the Kardashian Christmas Eve gala can come with a very hefty price tag. Just by observation alone, something like that could skyrocket well into the low millions, and with inflation, you shouldn't be surprised.
To help alleviate the costs, all seven family members-Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie, Rob, and Kris, all pitch in. This agreement is to ensure that no one should be anchored with the final bills or any tensions within one another.
"We all equally split the cost of the party. Because it's a family thing," Khloé says to her mom on the podcast, who wholeheartedly agrees with her daughter.
This year's will be hosted at Kendall's house, as Kim and Kourtney's homes are being renovated. The supermodel hosted last's year's inclusive event, which was limited to just the family. Additionally, due to Kris's 70th birthday bash last month, the holiday thing will be on a smaller scale.
Still, large or small, many good vibes happen and we can expect nothing less.
