Kanye West Comments on the Illuminati

It seems like everyone who has any kind of success, it is automatically because of the Illuminati. Rapper Kanye West wrote his own cover story for Paper magazine and addresser rumors of his connection to the Illuminati stemming from the launch of Tidal, a streaming app that could rival Spotify.

“I heard a comment — a joke — about the Tidal press conference being an Illuminati moment,” West wrote. “If there was actually an Illuminati, it would be more like the energy companies. Not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world. I’m tired of people pinpointing musicians as the Illuminati. That’s ridiculous. We don’t run anything; we’re celebrities. We’re the face of brands. We have to compromise what we say in lyrics so we don’t lose money on a contract.”

Most rational people know that the Illuminati is the thing of legend and tales. West’s comments won’t deter people from believing it though.

It is kind of interesting to hear someone talk so candidly about it and you could certainly understand West’s frustrations. He works incredibly hard on his music and fashion and has always felt held down, and his success being attributed to someone else has to be a thorn in his side.
