Kim Kardashian is using a surrogate for this reason – and it’s not what everyone is saying!

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have hired a surrogate to carry their third child. 

After learning that Kim and Kanye plan to use a surrogate for their next pregnancy, many criticized the famous couple for the decision. Despite Kim’s well-documented pregnancy difficulties, many critics of the famous couple claimed that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was opting out of her own pregnancy for reasons of vanity rather than health.

Kim has already carried two children to term as cameras rolled and paparazzi stalked her every move. Kim was mocked for gaining weight, with some outlets even comparing the KUTWK star to Shamu during her pregnancy with North.

What they and the Kardashian critics didn’t realize is that Kim Kardashian was suffering from preeclampsia, a condition that causes pregnant women to swell and suffer some serious blood pressure problems. So while Kim’s haters laughed about her growing body, throwing insults at the star for getting “too big” and for “letting herself go,” Kim really had some serious medical problems going on.

When North West was born early due to the preeclampsia diagnosis and the danger it posed to Kim and North, it was learned that she had another serious condition called placenta accreta. As Kim explained on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, placenta accreta is a condition where the placenta attaches too deep inside the walls of the uterus. After giving birth, Kim’s doctor literally had to reach inside her uterus and remove the placenta, scraping off pieces that were left behind with his fingernails. The entire procedure was very painful for Kim and the condition is life threatening because it can cause quite a bit of blood loss.

When Kim Kardashian became pregnant with Saint, it was after she had already been warned about the dangers of becoming pregnant again. Prior to becoming pregnant, Kim discussed the possibility of using a surrogate but she hesitated because that wasn’t what she really wanted to do. In yet another KUWTK episode, Kim talked about why she opted not to use a surrogate to carry Saint and has been very forthcoming about the lengths she went to in order to get pregnant.

When Saint was born, Kim suffered from placenta accreta again. This time, the KUTWK star really did have a delivery room crisis when she started to hemorrhage and doctors had a hard time getting her to stop bleeding. It was also learned that Kim’s condition and the removal of the placenta from Saint’s birth caused a hole in her uterus.

After Saint was born, Kim’s doctor warned her that another pregnancy would almost certainly lead to a full hysterectomy due to the pregnancy complications she had already suffered. Further, he also warned that even if they did perform a full hysterectomy on Kim, she still might bleed to death. It is very dangerous for her to get pregnant again.

With a surrogate, how many kids will Kim and Kanye have?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have said in the past that they want a big family. Kim, who is the second-oldest of the Kardashian-Jenner bunch, grew up with a lot of siblings and it’s no secret that she wants to follow in Kris Jenner’s footsteps and have a large family of their own. The problem is, Kim is putting her life in danger every time she gets pregnant.

Kanye West is an only child. Kim Kardashian recently said on an episode of KUWTK that Kanye wants to have five or six children with his wife. Back in 2016, People reported that Kim said Kanye was bugging her every day about further expanding their family. Back then, Kim’s response was “no way” due to the pregnancy complications she had with North and Saint’s pregnancies. It looks like Kim had a change of heart, though, because now Kim and Kanye are working on baby number three and who knows how many more they might add to the family with the help of a surrogate.

This isn’t about getting her body back or Kim Kardashian’s vanity getting in the way of her having a natural pregnancy. She’s already done it twice and suffered horribly both times. Kim has been outspoken about her pregnancy-related issues on Keeping Up With The Kardashians in depth. While it makes sense that many of her critics, those who really don’t like her, would not be watching the E! Network show and may have missed all that she went through, that still doesn’t make her choice to hire a surrogate an act of vanity or shallowness.

The backlash that has followed Kim Kardashian’s surrogate news is reminiscent of her traumatic Paris robbery. Soon after learning about Kim’s brush with death, many of the same Kim haters who are criticizing her plans to expand her family were saying truly hurtful and awful things then, too. Some went so far as to say that they didn’t care that Kim was robbed at gunpoint and thought she was going to die. Others even said that the armed robbers should have killed her. Even more were vocal in believing that the KUTWK star was making up the story for ratings.

It’s pretty clear that Kim Kardashian’s surrogacy plans, as well as the shocking Paris robbery, were not concocted to increase ratings. Rather, Kim has been going through some actual difficulties in her life and, even though she did take a brief social media break, the reality TV star continues sharing the details of her life, whether they are good or bad, with her fans.
