Kanye West invites 2 Chainz to dinner amid Jay Z feud

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian host 2 Chainz and his family for Fourth of July weekend dinner amid an ongoing feud with Jay Z and Beyonce.

It looks like that growing feud with Jay Z didn’t stop Kanye West from enjoying a family dinner night with 2 Chainz and his brood. A photo of Kanye, Kim, 2 Chainz, his wife Kesha Ward and all of their kids was posted to the “Good Drank” rapper’s Instagram page.

It looks like the fun didn’t stop on Sunday night either because 2 Chainz and Kanye are still hanging out. Earlier today, 2 Chainz posted yet another picture on the Gram. This time the photo featured the UCLA men’s basketball team. In the caption, he wrote, “Thank you @uclambb for letting me and Ye ball out at the court today.”

Now we knew 2 Chainz liked to ball and that he actually has so real basketball skills. Too bad they didn’t post any video of the outing so we could see how Kanye matches up against him.

The timing of the Kanye West and 2 Chainz family dinner has been questioned considering the feud that is heating up between Kanye and Jay Z. The “family pic” caption on the photo doesn’t help either. Are the two rappers coming together to send a message?

Jay Z recently fired shots at Kanye West via his new song “Kill Jay Z” on the newly released 4:44 album. Jay Z fired some not-so-subtle shots at Kanye in the song with this line:

“I know people backstab you, I feel bad too / But this f**k everybody attitude ain’t natural / But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without thinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f**k was he thinkin’? / ‘F**k wrong with everybody?’ is what you sayin’ / But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane.”

The Daily Beast reported that Jay Z was talking about Kanye’s deal with Tidal and the less-than-successful release of his Life of Pablo album on the streaming services. Other reports claim that Jay lent his former friend money for his Yeezy fashion shows and was never paid back.

While everyone was trying to figure out what Beyonce’s husband was talking about, Kanye West doubled down on their feud by leaving Tidal. On his way out, Kanye’s lawyers reportedly fired off a letter to Tidal, claiming that they owe him $3 million.

Due to that alleged debt, Kanye claimed that Tidal was in breach of contract and that he wanted out. There are also reports that after Kanye pulled away from the streaming service, he was threatened with a lawsuit.

Whatever happens between Kanye West, Jay Z and the Tidal fallout, it looks like everything is just getting started. Maybe that’s why Kanye called in his allies and had a publicly shared photo of his family get together with 2 Chainz and their families.

That is something Kanye wanted with Jay Z all along. As he revealed during his on-stage rant/nervous breakdown last year, Kanye’s kids have never even had a playdate with Jay Z’s oldest daughter even though they have kids that are just about the same age.
