Kardashians pledge $500K to Hurricane Harvey victims

The Kardashians are putting their money where their mouth is, making a huge donation in response to Kevin Hart’s plea for help to Hurricane Harvey victims. 

Hurricane Harvey has caused a lot of damage in South Texas with some calling it a 500-year storm. Many have been displaced due to flooding and storm damage.

Cleanup is only beginning as the flood waters begin to recede and it’s clear that Houston and surrounding cities will need a lot of help.

As rescue and cleanup efforts are starting to form, many celebrities have been stepping up to the plate and opening up their wallets to financially assist the Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts. The Kardashians are among those who have donated, with Kris Jenner confirming the news via Facebook.

As you can see with Jenner’s social media post, she will be teaming up with Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie to donate $500,00 to the relief efforts. Their monetary donation will be split between the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

According to TMZthe donation will be split evenly between the two charities. The Kardashians along with Kris Jenner plan to wire over their pledge in response to Kevin Hart’s call for celebrities to open up their checkbooks and start making donations for Hurricane Harvey relief.

In addition to Kevin Hart and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians crew, many celebs have stepped up in the Hurricane Harvey recovery effort. Chris Brown donated $100,000 and the second highest paid actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson chipped in $25,000.

Beyonce has begun her hurricane recovery assistance. The Houston native announced that she will be working closely with her pastor, Rudy Rasmus at St. John’s in downtown Houston, will be doing their best to help as many people as they can.

There are way more celebrities pitching in to lessen the impact of Hurricane Harvey. Literally, there are far too many to name. The outpouring of support and donations in the time of need for many people is just heartwarming and will definitely help put many Texas cities back together.
