Kim Kardshian charitable: Kardashian is more interested in helping than people think

Kim Kardashian showed her interest in Skid Row and helping the homeless population. 

There are a lot of haters out there for Kim Kardashian. The criticize her every move and neglect to acknowledge when she does something right. Last night, Keeping Up With the Kardashians showcased Kardashian as a humanitarian and interest in helping the homeless near her home.

We are used to seeing the lap of luxury from Kim Kardashian. Extravagant parties, dining out with friends, and trips all over the world have filled the KUWTK scenes. As Kim gets older, she becomes more aware of her surroundings and attempts to help when she can.

KUWTK showed Km Kardashian and her sisters driving through Skid Row and remembering the days their dad, Robert Kardashian, used to take them there. In fact, Kim mentioned how he did this so that they knew not everyone was as lucky as they were in Beverly Hills.

Kim Kardashian was the one who really stepped out and wanted to know more about the situation. She took Khloe Kardashian along with her to speak with some of the women who told their stories. Homelessness is often associated with addiction, but these women weren’t addicts. The sisters were blown away by what they saw.

Stephanie Shepherd, Kim’s now former assistant, hooked Kim up with Alexandria House. She put together a pamper day and spent time there with the women listening to their stories, pampering them, and helping them to write resumes and apply for jobs. It was a very revealing episode, especially showing Kim’s caring and humanitarian side.

Seeing Kim Kardashian out of her element was refreshing. The judgments made on her aren’t always fair. She is a rich reality star, but Kardashian does give back. This was a perfect example of how she helps locally, getting involved in the moment.
