Lionel Richie talks Scott Disick and Sofia Richie — Calls relationship a ‘phase’
After seeing his daughter date Scott Disick for nine months, the crooner has finally commented on the situation.
It has been almost a year since Sofia Richie and Scott Disick began seeing one another. They had been spotted together in spring of 2017 but didn’t confirm their relationship until September. The most recent episode of KUWTK touched on them dating as Kris Jenner grilled Scott about her age and if they were exclusive.

Lionel Richie is the father of Sofia, and everyone has been dying to know his thoughts on the situation. Scott Disick isn’t exactly known for his mental stability when drinking. In fact, his partying was one of the biggest reasons Kourtney Kardashian had to end things with him.

Of course, Lionel Richie isn’t saying anything but nice things about his daughter’s boyfriend. He did mention it is a “phase” she is going through, though he is content standing in the corner watching as things happen. It doesn’t look like he opposing the relationship, but he isn’t exactly jumping up and down at the idea of the two being together.
Sofia Richie has been praised for her maturity. She was raised in a Hollywood setting and has grown up around grownups. Sources are reporting that Scott’s friends like her, and that she meshes with their crowd perfectly.
As Lionel Richie waits for this to play out, we are also here waiting to see where this goes. Scott Disick has calmed down a lot since meeting her, and despite their huge age difference, we love them together. Hopefully, he gets things right this time.
