It’s a sad day for the OG Kardashian fans
Kim Kardashian announced the closing of all of the DASH stores and we’re over here crying about it.
It’s the end of an era. On social media yesterday, Kim Kardashian announced plans to close all of the DASH stores. Even though many of us never stepped foot into one of the swanky boutique stores, it’s still really sad to hear that they’re moving on from their clothing stores for good.
When Keeping Up With The Kardashians began, DASH was very much a part of the plan. The premise of the show was to highlight Kim and her family’s upscale life. Part of that centered around their Calabasas clothing boutique, DASH.

That doesn’t mean that the Kardashians are exiting the clothing business. Actually, right on the heels of the DASH announcement, Kim also shared that she’s doing another line. The real reason that the closing of DASH is so sad is that entire KUWTK spinoffs were made around the running of those stores.
Remember Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami? The very first KUWTK spinoff premiered in 2009. There were two seasons of that before it became Kourtney and Kim Take Miami when Khloe dropped off for the third season.
Then, there was Kourtney and Kim Take New York, where the oldest sisters headed off to NYC to open another DASH store. Season one started in 2011 and ran for two seasons.
After Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe stopped doing spinoffs involving the popular stores, they managed to eek out one more series tied to the famous family. In 2015, DASH Dolls premiered but quickly proved that without regular Kardashian appearances, there just wasn’t enough interest. The show was canceled after just one season.

It’s totally understandable that the Kardashian sisters would be ready to let DASH go after all these years. After all, they have several other companies combined including cosmetics and clothing companies that have become famous worldwide. The end of DASH doesn’t even come close to marking the end of the Kardashian reign. Actually, letting the iconic stores go will only allow the Kardashians to continue getting bigger as they grow their own personal brands and their families.
