LeBron James has announced plans to help his community and big-time celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West should take notes.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are no strangers to politics. Although we hear a little less from Kim, we know that Kanye would really like to see a lot of positive change in Chicago. It’s high time that celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West enact the change they want to see like Lebron James just did.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are spending a lot of time considering their political affiliations. While Kim is concerned with trying to fix the broken criminal justice system, Kanye seems more concerned with what politicians will do for cities like Chicago. Kim is working out plans on how to use her influence, but we’re not sure what Kanye has in mind.

Honestly, they could take a page from LeBron James’s book. LeBron cares for his hometown of Akron, Ohio more than anything else. The star athlete has opened up a school for at-risk children in Akron and provides almost all materials that these kids need. LeBron is keeping kids off the streets and giving them the educations that they deserve while providing for parents as well.

Dayton Daily News reports that children who attend LeBron’s school have free tuition, free uniforms, free bicycle and helmet, transportation, meals, and guaranteed tuition to the University of Akron for every graduate. Parents of these students are offered GED services and job placement programs.

What is Kanye West supposed to do in the face of this event? Hopefully, he and other celebrities across the globe can take this as a learning opportunity.

There are high hopes that other celebrities will follow in suit with LeBron James’s plan for his school. Too many celebrities talk about how they want improvements to the places they grew up but don’t make the effort to. Part of the reason that many of us speculate Kanye West supports Donald Trump so much is because he doesn’t think Obama did enough for Chicago.

Too many celebrities think that choosing the right politician will fix their hometowns and cities. In reality, it takes a plan like LeBron James’s to fix a city. We’re no experts here, but there doesn’t seem to be any flaws in educating more people. We’ll be waiting to see how other celebrities react to this news, and if they will use their own fortunes to help their cities thrive.
