Kim Kardashian facing backlash for using the “R word”

Kim Kardashian faces backlash all the time, usually about the way she parents her children or her beauty decisions. This time though, things are a little bit more serious as Kim used a word that is INCREDIBLY frowned upon in a casual context.

Kim Kardashian pulled out a word no one should be okay with saying after people didn’t understand what she went as for Halloween this year. The costume was meant to be Pamela Anderson, but she was going to Kendall Jenner’s birthday party where most people are going to be in their 20s, its probably normal if not EVERYONE knows who Kim was dressed up as at first.

Kim addressed their age saying it was sad that everyone was too young. Lol Kim, you are at your little sisters birthday party, what did you expect? In the now deleted video, Kim blatantly uses the R-word stating, “Nobody knows who I am. Yeah! R*****ed.”

In recent years this word has been phased out, as it doesn’t mean the same thing as stupid and shouldn’t be used interchangeably. People on Twitter blew up at Kim saying they have loved ones that are intellectually disabled and this really offended them.

Kim probably didn’t mean anything by it at all, but its important when you have such a large following to really watch what you are saying. In a statement to USA Today, Kim Kardashian apologized profusely for the issue and said she is always learning from her mistakes. “Please know that my intention is always pure, and in this case, it was a mistake. I’m sorry,” Kim Kardashian concluded.
