While last week’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians was all about birthday parties and celebrations, season 18, episode 6, titled “Family Matters,” got down to business! With Christmas around the corner (during filming for the episode), it’s time to figure out who will host the big party and magical Christmas morning.

Meanwhile, Scott Disick is dealing with his own family troubles as he can no longer escape the topic of his parents. Scott appears to still be on the phase where one can’t talk about loved ones who have passed, but this episode may have helped him get closer to closure.

Top 5 moments from Keeping Up with the Kardashians season 18, episode 6, Family Matters

Khloe’s first gig

Okay, we’re not sure if being Kris Jenner‘s assistant was really Khloe Kardashian‘s job, but she shares it was one of her firsts! Since Kris has given her assistant some time off, she’s extremely busy! When Khloe learns about this, she offers to help and mentions how she’s going “back to her roots” as this was her first gig. It was hilarious to follow Khloe around.

Scott Disick

Scott was extremely close to his parents, so losing his them was not easy at all. To make matters worse, he is an only child. I can’t imagine the pain, and we all watched Scott’s life spiral out of control during those difficult times. Scott is much happier now, but he still struggles talking about his parents.

In Keeping Up with the Kardashians season 18, episode 6, Scott realizes he needs to open up more as his kids are asking about his parents. He calls up Uncle Steve, his dad’s best friend who he has long been meaning to reconnect with. It’s wonderful to see them together, you can tell Scott is very emotional, but this is good for him.

Christmas Eve party

Before 2018, Kris Jenner was the Christmas Eve party host, and she did an amazing job at it. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made a huge deal about taking on hosting duties, and Kris reluctantly and tearfully accepted.

Well! Imagine emotionally giving away something so great. and important to you, only for Kim to come back one party later to say she no longer wants to host. Kris is understandably upset, but she can’t host. Who will be the new host of the big Christmas Eve party we all love to follow on social media? A family meeting is called!

The battle of the Christmas morning

It’s decided that Kourtney Kardashian will be hosting Christmas Eve party! Kris and her daughters, along with a couple of party planners, get together to start planning everything out. When Kylie shows up, however, she asks about Christmas morning, which Kourtney refuses to give up.

Christmas mornings have always been at Kourtney’s home. It’s only family (no workers, no staff, no friends), Christmas presents, and good family bonding. If you ask me, this sounds perfect. But Kylie wants it at her house. When Kourtney makes it clear that she’s not giving it up, Kylie says she’ll come over later, but will be spending Christmas morning at her own house.

In the end, it’s decided that the Christmas Eve party will be hosted by Kourtney Kardashian and each family will have their own Christmas morning moment their own home before gathering at Kourtney’s home.

It’s Christmas!

Why have Christmas in July when Keeping Up with the Kardashians is bringing it to us in April? The reality series hit the fast forward button and took us behind-the-scenes of their Christmas Eve party. As it turns out, Kourtney nailed it! The party was amazing.

Kourtney stayed up after the party to make Christmas morning preparations, proving once again she is an icon!
