With nearly half of the United States population reportedly without a job amid the COVID-19 pandemic, many celebrities continue to carelessly show off their wealth and luxuries on social media, unfortunately including the Kardashian-Jenner family.

While the ladies have taken time to remind their followers to adhere to the appropriate safety guidelines, they’ve also posted about their fancy trips to Wyoming and extravagant celebrations. Of course, backlash is almost inevitable here, and their latest move that’s making fans mad is the fact that they had Khloé face masks made for her birthday party.

A fan on Reddit spotted the face masks, which were posted to KoKo‘s Instagram Story, and wrote in a post, “Khloé had branded face masks at her party?? Am I the only one finding this somewhat tone deaf??” Many people were quick to agree, with one arguing that it has Kylie Jenner “written all over it.” As fans of the famous family know, the makeup mogul is known to go all out for parties, and considering she hosted this one, it’s rather obvious that she had the masks made.

“What is their obsession with putting their faces on everything during their parties?,” one Reddit user asked, while another weighed in with, “No one’s going to wear them, there’s no pictures of people wearing them at the party. The only people wearing a masks there were the vendors/servers.” A particularly annoyed Redditor wrote:

“It’s SO wasteful, and great if you want to celebrate a birthday in lockdown be my guest, but there’s really no need for this excess when ‘the guest list was small’ (which a large part of me doubts) AND thousands and thousands of people are battling COVID. They are so wealthy but just can’t seem to understand everything going on in the world, having masks MADE which are an absolute must everywhere at the moment when, let’s face it, will end up in the trash. I can’t see that they’ll donate them.”

This is hardly the first time the Kardashian-Jenners have been slammed for their over-the-top party decor. People also criticized Kylie for getting a larger-than-life sized inflatable slide of Khloé’s head for the same party, especially after she did the same for her two-year-old daughter Stormi previously.

At the end of the day, it looks like wealthy celebrities like the Kardashians will continue to be criticized for what they spend their money on, especially in the middle of a pandemic. Clearly, however, that’s not about to stop their lavish lifestyle.
