Kanye West asks for Kim Kardashian’s forgiveness, but not Kris Jenner’s

Following his recent outbursts, Kanye West has issued a formal apology to Kim Kardashian; however, he doesn’t seem to have regrets about what was said to and about Kris Jenner.

To recap, the latest Kardashian-West drama began when Kanye revealed personal details about his and Kim’s life sharing a story about the couple’s consideration of all options, including abortion, when Kim found out she was pregnant with their first child North. Shortly after, Kanye went on a Twitter tirade where he took several personal jabs at Kim and his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner.

In wake of Kanye’s public meltdown, Kim publically stood by her husband despite his refusal to see her or accept the help she has been adamant in wanting to provide. However, it now seems Kanye has had a change of heart and is ready to make amends with Kim.

Kanye West issues formal apology to Kim Kardashian

Days after his Twitter tirade in which he called Kim out and took several cheap shots at the mother of his four children, Kanye has issued a public apology in which he asks for Kim’s forgiveness.

As Kanye wrote on Twitter: 

"“I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”"

Although it’s uncertain of what exactly prompted Kanye to apologize, it’s great to see Kanye owning up to his shortcomings and publically issuing an apology to Kim.

Clearly Kanye has taken some time to reflect upon his recent actions and the hurt they have caused his wife. While Kanye seems truly sorry for the personal information he shared and the comments he made about Kim, it’s quite telling that no apology was issued to Kris Jenner.

Does Kanye West stand by his comments made against Kris Jenner?

While Kanye focused much of his attention on Kim during his Twitter tirade, he also put a large focus on Kris Jenner and threw some major shade at his mother-in-law. Beyond accusing her of ignoring his messages, Kanye went as far as claiming he didn’t want her around his children.

Judging by his comments, it’s clear that Kanye and Kris are not on the best of terms and we imagine the momager did not appreciate being put on blast — or seeing her daughter dragged through the mud.

The fact that Kanye did not apologize to Kris in any way during his apology tweet, makes one question whether Kanye stands by the comments made towards Kris and doesn’t have any regrets about his remarks.

There clearly seems to be some bad blood between the two at the moment and we imagine it might take some time for Kanye and Kris to mend fences.
