By now, I think it’s safe to say everyone and their mother has heard of the new Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion collaboration “WAP.” The music video which was released late Thursday night basically broke the internet, and people had all kinds of reactions to the NSFW footage—some harsher than others.

While the general consensus is that Cardi and Megan absolutely crushed the “WAP” video, many viewers are torn on whether or not Kylie Jenner should’ve been involved at all. The makeup mogul, who turns 23 today, appears in the video just after the 2-minute mark, and alongside the other cameos including Normani, Mulatto, and other ladies of color, Twitter users thought Kylie did not belong.

People had so much criticism to say about Kylie being in the video, that Betty White even began trending on Twitter after users claimed she would’ve fit better than the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star. Woof.

Well now, Cardi B herself is reacting to all the negativity, and she’s completely on Kylie’s side. As reported by US Weekly, the 27-year-old rapper responded in a since-deleted tweet to someone comparing the reality star to Normani with:

"Normani is one of the best female artist that dances Like she dances her f**kin ass off! Why would she open a door? Please tell me how that would make sense? The best part of the song is the beat & hook it what makes you want to shake your ass."

Cardi also told the person, “Not everything is about race. Theres issues out here in the world that it is about race that I preach all the time about. This is not about f**kin race,” and she didn’t stop there. In a third tweet which has also been deleted, the mom-of-one explained, “Why did I put Kylie on my music video? She treated my sister and daughter so lovely at her kid bday party.”

In a tweet that has not been deleted, Cardi then agreed with a fan of Kylie’s who pointed out that Normani danced because that’s her “talent,” while the mom of Stormi’s “talent” has to do with modeling. “Exactly!,” the “Money” rapper responded.

Clearly, people are very salty about Kylie appearing in the “WAP” video, and while everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion, Cardi is here to shut down all the hate.
