Kim Kardashian admits she was told working with Trump would ruin her reputation

It’s no secret that some of the biggest celebrities in Hollywood swing left, and a number have already spoken out against Donald Trump as the upcoming election approaches. For Kim Kardashian, however, she’s keeping things a little more cryptic.

In the first episode of the third season of his David Letterman’s Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, he sat down with the KUWTK star to get real about her work in criminal justice reform and her time spent in the Oval Office.

Despite working directly with President Trump to grant clemency to Alice Johnson and other inmates who committed non-violent crimes, she didn’t directly endorse him.

“I know who I’m voting for,” Kardashian told Letterman, remaining tight-lipped.

Apparently, the interview was completed several months before Joe Biden clutched the 2020 Democratic nomination, but she still didn’t have much to say about either candidate. Instead, she focused the conversation around her prison reform efforts.

Kim Kardashian assured the talk show host she’s “extremely grateful” for the administration’s work on criminal justice reform, adding that she plans to “stay focused” on her goals.

“Trust me, everyone called me and said, ‘Don’t you dare step foot in that White House or your reputation is done,” Kim admitted at one point.

Perhaps the reason Kim is hesitant to endorse a specific party is because her hubby, Kanye West, has presidential aspirations of his own. The rapper revealed on July 4 that he would be running for president, though seeing as the election is just around the corner, he will have to be write-in candidate.

The important message here? Kim Kardashian is exercising her right to vote, and although she won’t endorse a specific party, she seemingly understands the weight of the 2020 election. As for how she feels about Trump currently, we’re not sure.
