Long before today, fans were already waiting with bated breath to see where, when, and with which guests the reality star would be blowing her 40 candles out. Now that the day has arrived, will it be a family affair or a friend-fest for the ages? It sounds like a little bit of both.

According to PageSix, The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is secretly planning a celebration for her 40th on a private island. What’s bigger than that, right? Well, it reportedly gets bigger, if you can believe it. And since this is Kim Kardashian we’re talking about, you probably can. After all, the Kardashians know how to throw a party.

According to the publication, the SKIMS founder is planning to pack a private jet with 30 of her closest family members and friends for her birthday getaway.

Kanye West, Khloé, Kourtney, Kylie, Kendall and Kris Jenner are all reportedly on the guest list. As PageSix notes, only very close friends are invited, likely including Jonathan Cheban.

To make sure that her birthday party remains VIP only, she’s reportedly keeping the destination a secret from even those who plan to attend. This, of course, only adds to the intrigue.

This hot birthday spot might be a private tropical island somewhere in the Caribbean, but of course, we likely won’t find out the locale for sure until those “Kim’s 40th birthday”-themed selfies inevitably appear on social media.

Wherever this birthday getaway takes place, we’re hopeful all the attendees are tested for COVID-19 before and after the festivities.
