Fans are so excited over Rob Kardashian’s appearance on KUWTK

It’s about time! Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans were treated to a surprise on October 21 when Rob Kardashian made a rare appearance on the show. His KUWTK cameos are few and far between these days, but he made an exception for Kim Kardashian’s 40th birthday bash, where the entire family showed up to celebrate.

During Kim’s birthday special, the KarJenners whipped out a number of surprises. Rob and his sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner helped pull together a sweet walk down memory lane, setting up a video screen showing some of her best childhood memories. “Remember when they called you guys ‘Kimye?,'” Rob turned to Kim and said at one point. “We’re definitely Kimye,” she insisted.

It looks like Khloe Kardashian’s prior promise to fans that they’d see more of Rob rang true. Earlier this year, she told People that Rob was slowly but surely starting to get behind the camera more.

“We never push him, everything is his free will,” Khloé told the publication in June. “We always take photos — we have so many memories, but nothing public, so I was really happy because on my birthday, he said, ‘Oh, you can post that. I’m fine, I feel good.’ It made us feel so good that he was comfortable. And the reaction from the public was so positive that it gave him a boost of confidence.”

While his sisters have no problem basking in the spotlight, Rob has had the opposite experience through the years. He’s struggled with depression, opting to not film his family’s reality show and steer clear of the cameras. But, as Khloe said, tides are turning. Rob looked happy and healthy during his latest KUWTK appearance, and fans were thrilled to see him show face.

“Now he is filming more,” Khloe promised. “We’re filming more within our homes, and he is right there with us. I’m excited for everyone to see that. He’s such a good person and I’m just happy he’s coming back around on camera a little bit more.”

Being a reality star may not be Rob Kardashian’s “thing,” but if it means being apart of Kim’s epic birthday celebration, it was a no-brainer.
