Meghan Markle is ‘desperate’ to make millions claims royal insider

As one royal insider claims, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to sign a deal with Netflix is out of a “desperate” desire to earn cash from Netflix.

Earlier this year, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shocked the world when they decided to walk away from the royal family and their active duties. In the months that followed, all eyes were on the couple as royal watchers across the globe kept watch to see what was next for Meghan and Harry as they embarked on a new chapter.

After months of speculation, the world finally got answers to their burning question when in September Meghan and Harry inked a multi-million dollar deal with streaming giant Netflix.

The move seems like a perfect next step for the couple, giving them the chance to reach audiences and raise awareness for worthy causes and stories via both scripted and unscripted programs. It also gives Meghan the chance to return to her Hollywood roots, even if behind the camera rather than in front of it.

However, those close to the royal family don’t seem to share the same enthusiasm about the decision and instead see it to be a “desperate” attempt to make millions.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry viewed as money-hungry by royal insiders

Before the dust had even settled on Meghan and Harry’s deal with Netflix, reports broke that Prince William and the royals were furious with the couple’s decision to get in bed with the brand behind The Crown. Now a royal insider is coming forward to lodge a harsh accusation about the real reason Meghan and Harry chose to ink a deal with Netflix.

In speaking with The Mirror, Royal biographer Angela Levin claims Meghan and Harry’s decision to sign a deal with Netflix was all about landing a fat paycheck and nothing more.

"“But I think, you know, Meghan is desperate to earn lots of money and Netflix offered them something,” Levin claims. “I think they’re being naive as they have been about lots of things in that they don’t realize that a big company like Netflix is going to want its pint of blood.”"

Ouch! Clearly, Levin is not among Meghan and Harry’s biggest fans nor is she a fan of Netflix or The Crown — which she flat out said “stinks.”

"“I think the program stinks actually. It’s spiteful, it just goes for people’s negative points rather than their positive ones. It is unbalanced. It’s like a golden apple that inside is rotten. It is very, very unfair to the Royal Family.”"

Much like Prince William, it seems Levin has some sour grapes and is clearly just unhappy Meghan and Harry managed to land a sizable deal with the brand behind The Crown — not taking into account the show is one of only a multitude of programs Netflix is responsible for.

To say Meghan and Harry are money hungry is low hanging fruit even for royal insiders.
