Does Kanye West ever appear on Keeping Up With the Kardashians?

All of the sisters on Keeping Up With The Kardashians are mega-stars, but it’s no secret Kim runs the show. The reality star was made for the limelight, but her hubby isn’t quite as big of a fan of the spotlight. If you’ve ever watched KUWTK, you already know his TV appearances are few and far between. That being said, yes, Kanye West does occasionally show face on the show!

There’s a reason Yeezy decided to keep his personal life off-camera, and his wife divulged why during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “Kanye was like, ‘I’m not a part of the show. That’s not what I do. I have my own career and life,'” she recalled when speaking with the outlet.

Kanye himself has also spoken out about the matter. In an interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez, he shared some piping hot tea about why he doesn’t see eye-to-eye with producers.

“I don’t really do her show just because I don’t particularly like the way the producers shoot some of the shots,” he explained.

Every once in awhile, though, fans are blessed with a glimpse of Ye on the show. For example, the KUWTK engagement special for Kim and Kanye had plenty of shots featuring the “I Love It” rapper.

"“When we got engaged, I made sure the show was there because I felt like that was something that would make her happy,” he told Hot 97. “Regardless of how it was shot, I felt like this is a moment she would like to have and would like to share, and just have that documented. And we could decide later or not to air it.”"

Fans were blessed yet again when Kanye appeared on KUWTK in 2012 when he famously cleaned out Kim’s closet. In the episode, he made her get rid of all her gaudiest purses and shoes, making way for new, higher-end items. While at first, it was hard for Kim to part with the items, she eventually gave in.

Amid Kanye’s on-going mental health issues in 2020, he’s distanced himself from the show even more. But that means when we do get a cameo from Kanye it will be all the more special.
