Those Kanye West and Jeffree Star dating rumors, explained

As you’ve probably heard by now, a report came out earlier this week that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are divorcing. While the news might be confusing to some, fans of the reality star and rapper know how tough their past year has been. With reported fights and public breakdowns riddling their marriage in recent months, a split for the famous couple doesn’t exactly seem like a bad idea. Despite that, however, it doesn’t make it less shocking.

Kim and Kanye got married back in 2014 after taking their relationship public in 2012. The start of their relationship was documented pretty heavily on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and they soon became a power force in the world of entertainment. Fast forward to 2020, however, and it doesn’t appear the two are on the same page any longer.

And of course, as people do when they hear of their favorite celebrity splitting from their partner, the gossip is real regarding who Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will date next. Just as there are rumors stating Kim is now dating friend Van Jones, there’s also speculation that the fashion designer is seeing someone else.

Is Kanye West hooking up with Jeffree Star?

That someone else might not be who you’d expect. As the rumor mil continues to churn, people are claiming that Kanye West and famous makeup artist and YouTuber Jeffree Star are an item–or at least, the idea is that they’re hooking up.

Some people are even alleging that Kanye cheated on Kim with Jeffree. As reported by Insider, the rumor has no evidence so far, and it appears to just be something someone made up on social media. Apparently, the rumor all began on TikTok (unsurprisingly) by an influencer named Ava Louise, who alleged that Kanye has been hooking up with “a very famous beauty guru.” You can watch the video here.

Jeffree seemingly responded to all the buzz, as noted by Insider, taking to Twitter with a pointed caption. Sharing a selfie to social media, he cheekily wrote, “I’m ready for Sunday Service.” You can see the tweet in question below.

For now, it looks like the idea that Kanye and Jeffree are romantically involved is a complete rumor, but I’ll be interested to see if there’s actually any truth behind all the talk.
