As Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce seems all but confirmed, more is being revealed regarding what led to their alleged split. According to Us Weekly, Kim Kardashian officially hit her “breaking point” last month.

A source for the publication claims that Kardashian and West “had a big fight” in early December, telling Us Weekly that Kanye “blew up” and Kim was “really upset.” The insider goes on to say that it seems the couple, especially Kim, have yet to heal from the damage caused by this reported fight. Another source seemingly agreed, noting that it was “only a matter of time” before enough became enough and the famous couple parted ways for good.

The same source says that Kim Kardashian “didn’t just walk away,” though. Reportedly, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star reached her limit after a number of troubling incidents last year, ultimately snowballing their marital problems into an unavoidable avalanche.

According to that source, it was Kanye’s very public comments about North and the abortion Kim almost had that were “the final confirmation,” adding, “She will protect the children first, always.”

And let’s not forget Kanye’s Twitter rants last year where he called out his wife for cheating, among other things, and reportedly fled to their ranch for solace. Looking back, it’s clear the space was much-needed for them both.

Another source for Us Weekly alleges that the couple have quietly been “living separate lives” for way longer than the masses realize, maybe even a few months. Regardless of what the final straw really was, it appears Kim and Kanye are no longer “on the same page” and haven’t been for quite some time.

We wish them both the best moving forward.
