Kylie Jenner is currently facing major criticism online.

Apparently, some people think Kylie is exploiting the pandemic with one of her latest Kylie Skin products. On social media, many have been voicing their disapproval. According to Page Six, the makeup mogul is currently being accused of “profiting off the pandemic” with her Kylie Skin hand sanitizer. Needless to say, it’s definitely not a good look for the reality star right now.

On Twitter, Kylie Jenner shared the news with her following, writing “my @kylieskin hand sanitizer is here!! KYLIESKIN.COM . 80% alcohol, fast drying, and formulated with glycerin to prevent dryness! .”

While many were very upset with Kylie, some of her fans say they can’t wait to get their hands on a bottle of Kylie Skin hand sanitizer. Those jumping to Kylie’s defense also claim that people slamming her are reading the product launch all wrong. One person responded by saying:

"I really do not get the hate on Kylie. The amount of companies that created sanitizer, some good some not and they get praised. Kylie does it and it gets criticized and it’s pretty good quality businesses have to adapt and that’s just what Kylie has done."

Another person chimed in with:

"Before she started selling the hand sanitizer, she made it at the beginning of the pandemic and donated tons of it. Now people are giving her a hard time? People should get their facts straight first."

As noted by Page Six, this isn’t the first time a member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has been called out for selling something questionable during the pandemic. Last year, Kylie’s big sister Kim Kardashian was also accused of profiting off of COVID-19 after incorporating face masks into her Skims line.

Aside from claims that Kylie is following in Kim’s footsteps by exploiting the pandemic, a significant number of Twitter users had another issue with this Kylie Skin product. In the replies, many said their real beef is that the pink hand sanitizer, while cute, is only 80% alcohol, noting that “only 90% kills the germs.”

Kylie Jenner has yet to respond to the backlash.
