John Krasinski has accomplished many things in his career, with a diverse portfolio of acting projects that have helped him to reach audiences of all types.
To most, Krasinski is best known for playing the lovable Jim Halpert on NBC’s Emmy-winning comedy The Office for nine seasons. While Krasinski might have made his Saturday Night Live debut on January 30, 2021, he was originally slated to make his debut nearly a year earlier.
Originally, Krasinski was scheduled to host SNL Saturday, March 28, 2020 which would have been a week after the opening weekend of his film A Quiet Place Part II. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, NBC made the decision to postpone filming on the episode as part of production shutdowns that put a pause on many broadcast series.
