Travis Barker breaks silence on Kourtney Kardashian relationship in new interview

It’s no secret at this point that Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are an item, as the two continue showing off their love for each other in major ways. Fans of the Kardashians will know that the two, who have been neighbors and friends for years, made their relationship Instagram official a couple of days after Valentine’s Day this year, and it doesn’t look like they’re trying to keep anything under wraps anymore.

And while we aren’t seeing the pair at public events or red carpets during the pandemic, Kourtney and Travis have been spotted out together on numerous occasions as of late. We’re not certain if we’ll be seeing the Blink-182 star in the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians later this month due to the recency of their relationship, but we could almost guarantee that if they were to film another season, the 45-year-old musician would make some appearances.

It looks like the two aren’t even playing coy when being asked about their relationship in interviews. Travis Barker appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show virtually this week, as Complex reports, where he completely gushed about Kourtney! This marks the first time he’s publicly spoken about them dating.

Travis Barker talks about Kourtney Kardashian

Drew Barrymore didn’t hold back in asking Travis Barker questions about his dating life, bringing up a love letter from Kourtney Kardashian which had been posted to Instagram. “To lots of fun adventures, may we destroy each other completely. Love, [heart scribble] Kourtney,” the note read. While the 46-year-old actress explained that she would rather be in a calmer relationship, she did tell Travis she thought it was “so hot.”

Travis responded, “Yeah, I would prefer the opposite. I would prefer to kind of go in a blaze of glory, a ball of flames.”

He continued speaking about his relationship with Kourtney when Drew asked him about dating someone with kids, as the famous drummer is a parent himself. Travis shared:

"Up until now, I would date girls that didn’t have kids. And I find it kind of hard because I think they would have trouble understanding like, ‘Well, why don’t you want to go to dinner every night with me?’ Or ‘Why don’t you want to see me every night?’ And now I’m spending time with a woman who’s, like, a great mom, who’s, like, a great friend. And you don’t have to worry about any of those things. It just comes natural. It’s like a maturity thing."

Maturity is definitely something evident in Kourtney and Travis’ relationship. Many fans of the 41-year-old reality star are very approving of her new boyfriend because he’s older and seems to have his priorities straight. Instead of dating someone younger like Younes Bendjima, Kourtney is probably better off with someone closer to her age. Plus, many people are just happy she’s not going back to her baby daddy Scott Disick, although others of course still secretly ship them together.

So far, Kourtney and Travis seem really great together, and we can’t wait to hear more about their relationship!
