On March 7, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sat down with the Queen of Media, Oprah Winfrey, for an exclusive tell-all style interview in which the couple took full advantage of the opportunity to share their side of the story and set the record straight about why exactly they chose to walk away from their royal posts.

During the must-see interview, Meghan and Harry detailed the harsh realities of the circumstances they were thrust into during the months leading up to their departure as acting members of the Royal Family.

While revelations such as the firm’s decision not to bestow a title upon their son, Archie, or grant him with any form of royal security were shocking and heartbreaking in their own rights, there’s no denying that the most shocking and disturbing revelations to come from the interview were conversations connected to race and mental health.

As Meghan and Harry revealed to Oprah, in the months leading up to Archie’s birth, questions were raised as to “how dark” their child’s skin would be.

"“In those months when I was pregnant, all around the same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of, he won’t be given security, he’s not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born,” Meghan shared."

In addition to racially insensitive remarks, Meghan also revealed she struggled with feelings of depression and even considered self-harm in her darkest moments. Despite seeking help from the firm, Meghan claimed “nothing was ever done” which led the couple to find their own solutions to the problem which ultimately involved stepping away from the royal family.

Does Meghan Markle have proof to back up Oprah interview claims?

Meghan Markle is no fool, with the Duchess of Sussex said to have kept a well-documented record of her experiences with the Royal Family to back up the claims made during her headline-making interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Although it’s unclear exactly what type of documentation Meghan has tucked away on her end, the former Suits star indeed has proof to back up the claims she made during her sitdown with Oprah.

As CBS This Morning host Gayle King revealed in a recent edition of the CBS morning news program, “Meghan has documents to back up everything that she said [during her interview with Oprah Winfrey].”

Knowing Meghan kept a well-documented record of everything shouldn’t come as a surprise as doing so gives her the power to back up her claims with hard proof. What would be is if she ever chose to share the receipts she’s tucked away to back her claims!
