Reality star Kylie Jenner is an entrepreneur of a successful makeup line, a mother of a beautiful daughter, a daughter of one of the most famous families in America, and most importantly, she’s a philanthropist. Even if some people don’t know it.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians personality has never been a stranger to donating her funds to organizations or individuals that she can change the life of. Not too long ago, Jenner donated money to a friend’s GoFundMe after he got injured in a terrible car accident, which helped him achieve his goal. Of course, this only resulted in backlash when people thought she chose to only donate $5,000, which is a lot of money for the majority of the public, but not so much when we’re talking about Kylie Jenner.

The Kylie Cosmetics mogul later responded to the backlash by saying that $5,000 was the only amount the GoFundMe needed to achieve its goal.

This time, Kylie Jenner donated a much bigger sum.

Kylie Jenner donates $500k to cancer organization

According to People, Kylie Jenner donated $500,000 to the cancer organization Teen Cancer America, in honor of her friend, Harry Hudson, who is a cancer survivor.

The two became friends in 2013 through the social media app Snapchat, and have had a strong bond ever since. Their bond only grew stronger after Hudson was diagnosed with cancer the same year and Jenner was right by his side through it all.

American singer-songwriter Harry Hudson was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system, when he was only 20 years old. Thankfully, Hudson was cancer-free almost a year later in 2014. When talking to Rolling Stone about his near-fatal illness, Hudson said:

"I thought I knew what death and that stuff would feel like, but you don’t know until you go through it and it’s such a difficult thing. It’s the hardest thing to go through. I never even dealt with the grieving process, so this year was my grieving process."

Now that Hudson is in complete remission, he and Jenner decided they wanted to give back to those who suffer from the disease and help them cope with it as comfortably as possible.

Kylie Jenner donated proceeds from Kylie Cosmetics to Teen Cancer America after raising $500,000. This has allowed the organization to remodel the lounge room where the teens relax and socialize, creating a comfortable space for them to enjoy life.

In the end, Kylie Jenner was extremely grateful to have been able to donate to the cause. She spoke out on the initiative via her Instagram Story, sharing Harry’s post and stating, “Love you so much @harryhudson. I’m so happy to have you in my life and I’m super excited about the new center.”

Keep up the good work, Kylie!
