In early April, rumors began swirling that the Olympic Gold Medal winner Caitlyn Jenner was looking to make a bold career change by wading into the political waters in running for California governor.
Those rumors quickly turned into reality on April 23 when Caitlyn officially announced she had filed the initial paperwork to run for governor of California. “I’m in! California is worth fighting for,” Caitlyn wrote on Twitter in confirming the news as well as details about her campaign trail and official campaign site where individuals can provide support and learn more about her platform.
Although there are many individuals in her corner ready to back her political aspirations, fans should not expect The Kardashians to show her any support on the campaign trail.
Will the Kardashians vote for Caitlyn Jenner?
While the Kardashians threw support behind Kanye West when he decided to run for office as part of the 2020 Presidential Election, the family is said to have no intentions to throw their support behind Caitlyn Jenner.
According to TMZ, the Kardashians will not be publically supporting Caitlyn’s bid for governor of California for two pressing reasons: because of their opposing political views and the lingering fallout from her divorce from Kris Jenner.
Caitlyn is reported to have given the family a heads up before going public with her campaign; however, when sharing the news with her family, she is said to have gone into things with no expectations of receiving a public endorsement from the family.
The silver lining for Caitlyn is that, while the family won’t be endorsing her and aren’t expected to cast their vote in support of her campaign, the Kardashians are expected to remove themselves entirely from the election in not endorsing any candidate in the election.
Are you surprised to hear that the Kardashians have no plans to support Caitlyn Jenner in her bid for office and aren’t expected to vote for her in the election?
