Kim Kardashian accused Kourtney of ‘degrading’ nanny during heated discussion
For those that saw KUWTK last night, you would have watched the juicy drama unfold right before our screens. In last nights episode, we watched Kim Kardashian, 40, clash with elder sis, Kourtney, 42, over a situation involving Kim’s nanny.
The 40-year-old KKW and SKIMS founder accused her sister of “degrading” her nanny on a recent trip, claiming that the Poosh founder had caused the unnamed nanny to burst into tears and contemplate her future working for the Kardashians.
During a confessional in the episode, Kourtney – who’s a mom to three: Mason, 11, Penelope, eight, and Reign, six, – revealed to the camera:
"“Kim’s nanny and I had a little disagreement when we were away travelling together. But I haven’t really spoken to Kim about it, so, I wanna see what’s going on.”"
In front of an awkward looking Khloe Kardashian, Kim confronted Kourtney and revealed that her nanny “felt so degraded by you”.
“You just started yelling at her and then said ‘Keep your voice down’,” Kim told Kourtney Kardashian.
But the Poosh founder categorically declined the alleged claims and branded them a “lie”.
“Oh my god. She’s lying,” Kourtney retorted, visibly frustrated with her sister.
Kim – who is mom to four kids: daughters North, seven, and Chicago, three, and sons Saint, five, and Psalm, two – stood by her nanny, and scolded Kourtney, telling her that the matter should have been dealt with “in private”.
"“She said she wished you would’ve tapped her on the shoulder and said, ‘Hey, something’s really bothering me. Can I talk to you?’ and you could have talked in private. But for [you] to yell at [her] in a restaurant [was wrong].”"
Kourtney, who was adamant that she was in the right, and it was actually Kim’s nanny who was the issue, informed her sisters that she was only confronting the nanny because she had told Reign, a few weeks before, that he would “go to jail” if he didn’t stop talking in the car.
The Poosh founder told her sisters that Reign was very “big on” her calling people out in front of him, so he knows that she has dealt with the situation and it’s important for him to know that Kourtney has “his back”.
Kourtney then added that she doesn’t want her kids to be around the nanny again.
"“If you think she works for you, that’s totally fine. But, she would never work for me with the way she acts. That’s totally your choice.”"
But Kim, who didn’t seem impressed with Kourtney’s responses, replied with a loaded comment, aimed at the Poosh founder’s alleged inability to keep employees.
Kim Kardashian declared that she liked the nanny and was not going to fire her, “I like to keep my staff for a long time,” she pointedly told Kourtney, and her sister responded by reconfirming that the nanny is no longer welcome around her kids.
She frostily said: “Keep her. She will not ever be around my kids.”
To which an agreed Kim responds with: “Kourtney, you can’t even keep a nanny.”
Referring back to a 2019 episode of KUWTK, where Kourtney revealed her nanny quit after her daughter Penelope, who was seven at the time, scratched her during a temper tantrum.
But the mom of three – who’s been dating Blink-182’s drummer Travis Barker -saw red and replied: “Kim, shut the f*** up, honestly. The way you’re talking is wild.” Before getting up and storming out of the room.
In a confessional, Kourtney revealed that Kim’s comments were “lies about my own staff,” which were “really hurtful coming from my sister.” She said Kim was “projecting all bulls*** onto” her.
But the argument didn’t last long after a concerned Khloe Kardashian checked in on Kourtney who was hiding and crying in another room, so later a guilty Kim approached Kourtney to apologise about their earlier disagreement.
Kim told Kourt that she saw “both sides” of the incident and that she felt “guilty” about how she handled the discussion. They both decide that they need to work on the ways they speak to one another and agree to do better in the future.
