KUWTK: Tristan Thompson thinks he’s found the ‘recipe to make’ Khloe Kardashian happy – but isn’t it too late?

Keeping Up With The Kardashians returned last night, May 20, for its ninth episode in the final season, titled: “Keeping Up With The Kids” – read a full episode recap here – and the popular reality show proved that it knows just how to twist the knife deep in our hearts and make it hurt because the latest episode did just that. In last night’s episode of KUWTK, we watched as Tristan Thompson made a significant effort to make our sweet Khloe Kardashian comfortable and feel welcomed in his bachelor pad following the news that she had sold her Calabassas home, in order to build her dream house right alongside her moms, Kris Jenner.

In a distant time, before the alleged cheating and baby drama ever occurred, Tristan Thompson went above and beyond to prove to Khloe Kardashian that he’s a keeper, and honestly, that just makes our heart ache. The Tristan we know of today is so vastly different from the man we’ve been getting to know on our screen during the last season of KUWTK, that it’s still a bit of a shock to even see this “sweet and thoughtful” side to him.

In Thursday’s episode of KUWTK, while Khloe Kardashian vented to a friend in the gardens over the stress she’s under from having to move out of her Calabassas home, which was at the time in escrow, Tristan overheard her distress and came up with a plan in the hopes to ease some of her anxiety and further secure Khloe’s love and trust.

The Boston Celtics player – who was recently accused of allegedly cheating on the Good American founder AGAIN, this time with Instagram model, Sydney Chase – decided to venture through and take pictures of some of the unique aspects and key pieces of Khloe’s property, in order to later incorporate some of these Koko-esk touches to his own home to ensure the KUWTK feels more welcome and at home when she visits his bachelor pad.

The 30-year-old basketball player thought he had discovered the “recipe to make Khloe happy” and was clearly eager to do so in those days – though he might have a bit of warped sense of what makes people happy – when he declared in a confessional later, while sat beside the KUWTK star:

"“Khloe bought this house fresh off a divorce, and that in itself is a big accomplishment whenever you buy a house, so I think for Khloe it’s kind of hard to start another chapter, but at the end of the day, change is a good thing. I ain’t scared of it, I’ve got the plan, I’ve got the recipe to make her happy.”"

Throughout his venture around Khloe’s home, Tristan took note of the “weekly fresh flowers”, several brands and companies that the Good American founder is fond of, and even took note of a kitchen paper dispenser by Khloe’s sink, and announced to no one in particular, “This will go perfectly by my double sink,” before proceeding to take a picture of Khloe’s fridge content, and declaring: “I’m instacarting all of this.”

Later in the episode, having stuck to his word and incorporated a few KoKo pieces in his home, Tristan spoke with Kim Kardashian at her home about his property update which he had shown to Khloe, but she was left unimpressed.

"So, Khloe came over to my house the other day, and she’s like ‘hmmm this looks familiar’ and she just kept kissing her teeth …”"

But before Tristan could finish, a shocked Kim Kardashian jumped in to clarify – “Wait, she thought you were trying to bite her style, for like yourself?” – and sullenly the Boston Celtics player nodded.

"“I just wanted to replicate Khloe’s house to the best of my ability at my place, and I want her to feel comfortable, you know?”"

To which Kim nodded in agreement and replied “Totally”.

Later Kim spoke to the cameras, and announced she felt “bad” for the NBA player, while also calling him “sweet and thoughtful”, she further stated in her confessional:

"“I feel so bad for Tristan, like he tries so hard and just wants Khloe to be happy. So, to copy the stuff in her house and bring it over to his home, to make her feel comfortable there is the cutest thing ever, how does she not see that?”"

In the end, Tristan Thompson spoke with Khloe and made his interntions clear, making for a pretty touching scene.

Who would have known that the 30-year-old Boston Celtics player had such a “sweet and thoughtful” side to him?
