Kendall Jenner has always been the one Kardashian-Jenner family member who is hesitant to showcase any of her love interests on camera.

When it came to dating her ex-boyfriend, NBA athlete Ben Simmons, we never really saw many moments of the two together. How the pair got together and how they eventually broke up will never be seen by Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans. The same goes for her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Blake Griffin and most of her previous relationships.

Now that we know Kendall has hit her one-year anniversary with Phoenix Suns player Devin Booker, we’ve now realized that the relationship’s origins and other dating milestones weren’t included in KUWTK at all, and you may have been wondering why.

Apparently, there’s always been a rule that the American model held when it came to onscreen boyfriends, and now, we finally know what this entails.

What rule did Kendall Jenner have on KUWTK?

In an interview with The Daily Dish (per E! News), Farnaz Farjam, executive producer for KUWTK, spilled the beans and revealed why Kendall Jenner never showed her boyfriends on screen. He stated:

"Kendall’s always had this rule, which she felt like she had to be with someone for at least a year before she lets them be a part of the show and in the show. Because she doesn’t always know what people’s intentions are."

Looking back, her rule does make a ton of sense and explains her ex-boyfriends’ absences.

She and Simmons weren’t too steady in their relationship, reportedly being on-again-off-again, and her relationship with Griffin almost made the one-year mark, however, the pair ultimately split before that milestone. But what about Devin Booker?

If Keeping Up With the Kardashians continued past the 20th and final season, there’s a chance that we may have been able to see Kendall and Devin’s relationship on camera considering that he passed her qualifications.

However, all hope is not lost as the Kardashian-Jenners’ new Hulu show could feature endless adorable moments between this couple. Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see!
